What is Multi Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) As shown in the diagram, the multi point fuel injection system in which there is an independent injection for each cylinder mounted in the inlet port. This provides improved mixture preparation and distribution in comparison to a single point and carburetor systems.

Multi Point Fuel Injection (MPFI)

The air supply is controlled by the throttle body and the butterfly valve fitted in the intake system. In single-point injection. A single injector for the entire engine is mounted above the buttery throttle valve, which feeds the driver like the carburetor system.

But in multipoint infusion, when the independent injector is placed above below the throttle valve, it is called indirect multi point injection System. The working and layout of a mechanically operated multi point fuel injection system are shown in Figure 2.

An electrically controlled gas pressure pump is mounted close to the gas tank to pump fuel in the gas tank into your metering distributor through a filter at a predetermined pressure of roughly 0.7 bar

The valve provided between your valve pump and metering supplier yields the surplus fuel into the container, hence keeping the gas supply into the metering supplier at continuous tension.

However in multi-point extract, once the individual injector is set above below the effluent valve, then it’s known as in direct multi stage scoring Method. The working and design of a mechanically operated multipoint fuel injection system have been displayed in Figure 2.

An electrically controlled gas pressure pump is mounted close to the gas tank to pump fuel in the gas tank into your metering distributor through a filter at a predetermined pressure of roughly 0.7 bar

Subsequently, that the injector is kept shut by spring till the gas pressure opes it to supply a atomized spray of fuel.
